Get Involved!

There are several ways you can join the fight to protect your rights and your access to quality Equine Dental Practitioners.

1. Email your local representative. We’ve found email campaigns to be more effective. Please cc: info@texastoothlaw.com with your emails to your representative so we can keep it on record. That way there will be no question of the response of Texas Horse Owners. Please be direct, do not be abusive, and be sure to include your full name and address. Individual Representatives want and need to hear from people in their own district.

"I support my right to choose the best course of Equine Dental Care for my horse. The acts of the TSBVME against qualified and needed Equine Dental Practitioners does not represent my views, and further, I think it damages and restricts my opportunities to choose the best possible care plan for my animal. I want to protect my rights as a horse owner and resident of <county>, Texas. Please support practical legislation made through the input of Equine Dental Practitioners, Owners, and Veterinarians. Do not let the TSBVME monopolize equine care options in Texas."

Here’s a link to find your House Representative: http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/welcome.php

You can double up on the House and Senate Ag Committees:
Legislative committee lookup: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/Committees/Membership.aspx

The most effective way to be heard is to schedule an appointment at the legislator’s office in your home town and talk to them in person AND email them.

If we can get at least one contact per county, we’d be in great shape!

3. Send a Message to Dewey!!!
Mr. Dewey Helmcamp III

Fax: 512.305.7556
email: vet.board@tbvme.state.tx.us

4. Write
us a letter
of support so we can pass it on! We need documented supporters from accross the state willing to go on record in support of Equine Dental Practitioners.

5. Of course, we could use your financial support. There just aren’t that many of us in Texas to support a big lobbyist and long, expensive campaign. Funds donated through this web site will go directly to support the Equine Dental Practitioner’s fight to keep working. They will help to insure that responsible and well-trained adults will not lose their livelihood. You can donate through PayPal by clicking the button below. Payments are currently being processed through the site designer, Tempest Digital Solutions.
